Who can play football for MLYFA?
All children (boys & girls) residing in Mt. Lebanon School District entering grades 1–6 may participate.
Why should my child play football?
Football builds character, teamwork, resilience, and leadership—skills that translate beyond the field.
What are the age requirements?
- Termite: Grades 1–2
- JV: Grades 3–4
- Varsity: Grades 5–6
What are the weight requirements?

When does the season begin and end?
Season starts early August with heat acclimation, followed by games, playoffs, and Super Bowl.
What is the 5th Quarter?
An additional period to ensure all players get meaningful playing time.
What equipment do I need?
